WEDDING Blandford — Bartholomew. A very pretty wedding was solemnised in the Buderim Methodist Church on Saturday, 30th August, when Adeline Joy, youngest daughter of Mr. W. Bartholomew, Torquay, and the late Mrs. Bartholomew, was married to Lawrence Raymond, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Blandford, Gladstone. Rev. J. Savage officiated at the marriage. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a dress of white embossed satin and carried a bouquet of Eucharis lilies and Shasta daisies. She wore a head-dress of plaited white satin from which hung a veil of embroidered and scalloped white net. Miss Doris Marback attended as bridesmaid. Her frock was of green marquisette and she carried a bouquet of lavender-toned flowers. Mr. Chris. Crawford carried out the duties of best man. During the signing of the register, the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Merryfield, sang 'O Promise Me.' The reception was held in the Methodist Hall, Nambour, and the guests were received by Mrs. Walter Bartholomew, who wore pale blue shantung with a shoulder spray of pale pink sweet peas and carnations, and Miss Crawford, aunt of the bridegroom, who was frocked in navy blue with shoulder spray of red roses. The two tier wedding cake was decorated with a bridal pair standing under an arch. On leaving for the honeymoon, which was spent at the South Coast, the bride wore a frock of blue and tan linen with tan accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Blandford will make their future home in Nambour.
