Birth registered as Henry. Parents: George WRIGHT and Clarissa Ann BENNETT. George and Clarissa Ann were married in Brisbane in 1878. His parents had a farm at Palmwoods and Harry/Henry worked there as a labourer in 1913.

He enlisted at Nambour on the 25 Mar 1915 giving his occupation as carter and aged 28. His NOK was his mother, Mrs Clara Wright of Taringa. His personal details are - height 5ft 3in, weight 8st 9lbs, chest 31 1/2-34 3/4, complexion-darkish, eyes-bluish-grey, hair-darkish, religion-methodist.

On 8 Aug 1916 he left Boulogne on the HS "Cambria" to return to England for treatment of a gun shot wound to the back. On 23 Mar 1917 he was T.O.S. to the 69 Battalion. On 12 Jul 1918 he was wounded in the left ankle and transferred to England.

On 5 Feb 1919 he married Gertrude Agnes Manchester by license at St Cuthbert's Church, Carlisle, Cumberland. She was 21 years of age. He left England on the ship "Main" 23 Jul 1919 and arrived at Sydney 15 Oct 1919. He was discharged 15 Dec 1919.

In 1937 Harry/Henry and Gertrude were living at 61 Baron St Mt Thompson Est, Brisbane, occupation - tram conductor. Between 1943-1949 their address was 60 Chester St Annerley and 1954-1963 31 Rigby St Annerley. Harry/Henry died 1 Jan 1959 and is buried at Mt Gravatt Cemetery. Gertrude Agnes died in 1977.
