Charles was 20 and single at embarkation. He was 5ft 9ins tall and weighed 156 pounds. He had a fair complexion and hazel eyes.
He listed his occupation as mechanic and driver. He was of the Church of England faith.
Charles`s Father was the Lighthouse Keeper at Caloundra. Left Nambour to join AIF. Cousin Mr Heinemann of Mt Cotton. (NC 11.9.14 admin).
Charles returned from service blind in his right eye, and had defective vision in his left eye. He was discharged 2/2/1916.
It would appear that Charles`s nephew Neville Edlundh lived with him in 1941 at Brisbane Street, Annerley, Qld. Neville was killed in action in 1942.
