The Chronicle of 10 December 1915, p4, reported Mr George Nutting, late trooper of the 2nd ALH twice reported wounded, has been granted temporary 2nd Lieut in the 10th(?) Suffolk Reserve Battalion. Lieut Nutting is the eldest son of Mr and Mrs W.B. Nutting of the Blackall Range, Nambour. From Alexandria to Gallipoli 9/5/1915. Gunshot wound to leg at ANZAC Cove 19/7/1915. Wounded 7/8/1915,to England on HT Aquitania 14/8/1915.To No.3 London Hospital Wandsworth 23/8/1915. Discharged from AIF having obtained commission in the Imperial Army 6/10/1915. Promoted to Commissioned rank 11/3/1916,Monte Video,10th Suffolk Regiment. Lieutenant County London Yeomanry 1/6/1918-11/11/1918.
