Patrick was the son of Andrew Frostrop & Bridgett Annie Mulherin - His father passed away 7th June,1888 leaving his mother to cope with 3 small children aged 4,2, 3 1/2 months. Eventually his mother was admitted to Goodna Asylum where she died 17th June, 1892 aged 36 years. Patrick's grandparents Hans & Mette Frostrop raised him from the aged of 2. He was a member of the Mackay Rifles for 3 Years -
